Willa Marks
Teacher
Wilhelmina Marks is originally from Mansfield, Ohio, where she began her dance training at the Richland Academy of the Arts, studying ballet, modern, jazz, and tap under Marden Ramos and Sarah Horrigan-Ramos. She graduated in 2021 from Wright State University with a BFA in Dance. During her undergraduate years, Wilhelmina was a member of the Dayton Ballet’s Second Company (2017-2018) and the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s Second Company (2018-2020).Since graduating, she has danced with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company as an apprentice (JB Fellow) from 2021 to 2024. In the summer of 2023, she joined the Dayton Dance Initiative as a company dancer. Her performance experience spans major cities including Chicago, New York City, Pittsburgh, and across Ohio, as well as Indiana and Kentucky. In 2023, Wilhelmina also interned with Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, where she had the opportunity to perform with the company.
