Samantha Conte

Teacher

Samantha Conte is a performer, dance educator, and choreographer. She began her dance training at the age of four right here at South Dayton School of Dance, and spent six years dancing with SDDT. In 2012, she received the Monticello Award for Emerging Choreography for her piece Inferno, which was selected to perform in Montreal at the RDA National Festival. She continued her choreographic training on a full scholarship at the National Choreographic Intensive. In 2017, Samantha graduated Magna Cum Laude with her B.F.A. in Dance from Ball State University. Since graduating, she has been on staff at multiple local dance studios, as well as recently working in Hamilton area pre-schools to give underprivileged children exposure to dance. Over the course of her dance training and professional career, Samantha has worked with guest artists, such as Sidra Bell, Leslie Dworkin, Cody Szarko, John Litzler, Ruka White, and Debbie Blunden-Diggs. Samantha spent three seasons as a company member with Mamluft&Co. Dance, and is now in her second season with Hixon Dance. Samantha is so excited to be back with her SDSD family
